After 10 years of aging, this wine is the perfect expression of the Santa Lucia Highlands, an American Viticultural Area (AVA) known for producing world class Pinot Noir. The tannins have polymerized (joined together) to create an incredibly smooth and velvety wine. Flavors of plum, raspberry, and notes of vanilla dance on the pallet. The underbelly of each cork has potassium bitartrate, tiny crystals affectionately known as wine diamonds, which occur only after extended aging in cool cellaring conditions.
